Before you go
- Best season
- November–February is cooler and drier. March–May is very hot; June–October is rainy, usually in short afternoon bursts.
- Getting around
- BTS Skytrain and MRT metro beat traffic; river boats serve the old town. Metered taxis are cheap — insist on the meter. Grab is the local ride-hail app.
- Entry requirements
- Many nationalities (incl. UK, EU, US, Australia, India) get visa-exempt entry, typically 60 days. Rules change often — check the Thai embassy before travel.
- Money
- Street food and markets are cash-only. ATMs charge ~฿220 per foreign-card withdrawal, so take out larger amounts.
