Before you go
- Best season
- April and November are the sweet spots. June–July is rainy season (tsuyu) — which is exactly when this itinerary shines.
- Getting around
- The Midosuji subway line links Shin-Osaka (bullet train), Umeda, Shinsaibashi and Namba. IC cards (Icoca/Suica) work on everything.
- Entry requirements
- Same as Japan generally — many nationalities visa-free up to 90 days; Indian passports need a visa. Check MOFA before booking.
- Money
- Food stalls and smaller arcade shops are often cash-only. Convenience-store ATMs accept foreign cards.
